Presented by Theresa Hoffman of Thrive Leadership
September 22, 2020; 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Self-awareness is crucial for success in leadership and is the foundation for emotional intelligence, high performance and strong relationships. In 2017, Korn Ferry identified the lack of self-awareness as “the most dangerous blind spot” for leaders. In this 1-hour interactive workshop, we will explore why self-awareness matters, what obstacles tend to stand in the way, and strategies for boosting self-awareness such as pinpointing our strengths and limitations, identifying better sources of feedback (both internal and external), and strengthening emotional intelligence. This facilitated online workshop will include small breakouts throughout to encourage HRBA members to learn from each other and apply the content to their own lives.
After this workshop, participants will have:
- Deliberate practices for coming off autopilot
- Mechanisms for obtaining more frequent feedback
- Strategies for identifying our common emotional triggers
