Panelists will share how they are leading their organizations through the changes, including considerations for hybrid on/off site employees and engagement, testing considerations, and returning to the workplace. A Q&A period will follow. Come glean from the collective wisdom of fellow HRBA members. More about our panelists:

Susan is focused on identifying and implementing the right initiatives and programs to attract talent, championing a values driven and healthy culture, and facilitating leadership development.  Prior to joining Macrogenics in 2015, Susan led HR functions at various other local life science organizations including U.S. Pharmacopoeia and Sucampo.  Before that she spent the majority of her HR career in various HR roles in the life sciences industry including Invitrogen/Life Technologies,  SmithKline Beecham (now GSK) and Quest Diagnostics.
Alyssa is responsible for its most important asset, its employees. In this role, she is an advisor to Executives, oversees the company’s strategy for employee acquisition and retention; its employee relations, training and organizational development functions, benefit and compensation plans; as well as community relations.  In addition, Alyssa and her staff are responsible for fostering and preserving United Therapeutics unique cultural values and principles.
Shiva brings over two decades of experience in research, development and human resources in the biopharmaceutical industry.  For the past decade, Ms. Fritsch has focused on leading a variety of strategic and operational people initiatives. Ms. Fritsch has also held positions as the Senior Director of Talent Management with Novavax, Inc. as well as senior human resources roles with Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Human Genome Sciences, Inc. Ms. Fritsch has served as a member of HR Leadership teams, where she directed activities related to Talent Acquisition, Organization and Leadership Development, and implemented HR Business Partner models.
Jill leads the Human Resources function for the company since January 2018.  Jill was a member of the HR Bio-Alliance from 2002 – 2004 when she worked as the Senior Human Resources Manager for Entremed.  In addition to working in biotech industry, Jill’s HR career has spanned the high tech, not for profit (The American Chemical Society), consumer goods, government contracting and securities industries in Manager, Director, or Business Partner roles.  Her niche is in small to mid-size companies where she manages all aspects of HR, both strategically and tactically.
Rob has broad experience in the areas of corporate HR, talent acquisition, compensation, organizational design and leadership development. Prior to joining Precigen, Mr. Russell served in leadership roles in the US and Internationally with Thermo Fisher Scientific, Life Technologies, Applied Biosystems and Celera Genomics, supporting the original human genome project and soaring eagles project after 9/11. Mr. Russell has been in HR for nearly three decades and has focused exclusively on the biotech and life sciences industries for the past two decades. His prior experience includes leadership roles at high tech companies focused on business intelligence and disaster recovery software.
